What do I do if maintenance is required?

Does your car need maintenance?

We urge you to contact us first on 020 – 74 00 952. We will then guide you through the process of scheduling your service as quickly as possible.

When you make an appointment for maintenance, please always mention that the car belongs to us. This allows us to keep the maintenance time to a minimum, so you can get back on the road quickly.

Please note that replacement transportation is not included in your contract for the first 24 hours. However, maintenance can often be completed within 1.5 hours. If you would like to use this time to work, you can make use of a business corner, which is of course equipped with Wi-Fi.

What does shortlease mean?

Shortlease is a type of lease for a short period, ranging from 1 to 24 months. With us, you can take out a shortlease for as little as 1 month! After that month, you can cancel the car free of charge on a daily basis. With short lease, you are not tied to a contract and you know exactly what the costs are.

Short-term leasing is ideal for entrepreneurs who need a car for extra staff. This is useful if you are hiring extra employees for a short period or if employees are on probation. You can quickly arrange a car so that they can get on the road right away. No longer need the car? Then you can simply cancel it with us and we will arrange for its return transport.

Private individuals can also take advantage of our shortleasing options. Is your car out of service for a longer period due to maintenance, or are you waiting for your new car and temporarily without transportation? Then shortlease is the perfect solution. We have a special offer for private individuals that you definitely don’t want to miss.

What is the minimum age for shortlease?

Companies can always short-lease a car, but for drivers aged 24 or younger, we apply an increased excess.

Can I get a fuel card?

Yes, we offer the convenience of a fuel card. The condition is that the rental period must be longer than one month. We require a deposit of €250 for the fuel card and charge an administration fee of €7.50 per card per month. We invoice the fuel advance together with the monthly invoice for the short-lease car. At the end of the rental period, we settle the difference with the actual fuel costs.

How can I return my car?

If you no longer need the car, you can return it at any time. Call us at: 020 – 218 4243 or email us first at: info@enterpriseshortlease.nl so that we can make the necessary arrangements with you. There are two ways to return the car:

You can return the car to our branches in Amsterdam and Maastricht.

We can also pick up the car at your location, for example at home, at the office, at a dealer, etc.

The pick-up costs are €75 excluding VAT and any toll and ferry costs. The actual final check for damage, mileage, and fuel always takes place at the Enterprise Shortlease branch. Here, the final mileage is recorded and the car is refueled if it is not returned with a full tank. You remain responsible for any damage until the car is returned to our branch in Zwolle. We will then prepare the final invoice for you and refund any overpayment, including the deposit. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Can you also deliver the car, and how much does it cost?

The car can be picked up and returned free of charge at our branch in Amsterdam. We also offer the option of delivering and collecting vehicles throughout the Netherlands. The rate for delivery or collection on location is €85 excluding VAT (excluding additional costs such as ferry, boat, etc.).

Exchange:
If we deliver a car to a desired location and can immediately take another car from us to our branch in Amsterdam, we charge a rate of €110 excluding VAT.

Urgent transport:
Would you like to have your car extra quickly? This is possible via ‘urgent transport’. This applies to:

  1. Delivery of the car on the same day;
  2. Transport that must be scheduled after 4 p.m., for example when the deposit (if applicable) and the signed contract are received after 4 p.m.
    The urgent transport fee is €115 excluding VAT.

Please note:
Pick-up and drop-off with damage inspection always takes place at our branch in Amsterdam. The mileage at departure and return to the branch in Amsterdam determines the total number of kilometers driven. The car leaves Amsterdam with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.

In short, the kilometers driven during transport and the fuel used during transport are at the expense of the renter.

Can I drive my car abroad?

Ask Enterprise Shortlease for permission in advance. Are you taking your short-lease car abroad? Then we advise you to take out good travel insurance and/or an International Travel and Credit Letter (IRK). Once you have obtained permission from Enterprise Shortlease, the car will be insured abroad and, if necessary, you will be offered replacement transport.

PLEASE NOTE: it is prohibited to drive our cars outside Europe.

As a business customer, how quickly can I get a car?

You can always drive a car within one working day. If you send a quote request via the website, we will send you a personalized quote as soon as possible. You can also contact us by phone on working days with your requirements on 020 – 218 4243.

For business customers, we ask you to email the following:

  • A copy of the Chamber of Commerce registration for the car to be purchased and any “superior” Chamber of Commerce registrations showing who the owner/authorized signatory is.
  • A copy of the owner’s/authorized signatory’s ID.
  • A copy of the driver’s license + the driver’s name, address, and telephone number.
  • The completed account application form.

We will perform a credit check based on this information. Upon approval, you will receive all necessary documents from us:

  • Order confirmation with all customer details, the car, the rate, and any delivery details.
  • Deposit invoice with an iDEAL link, so we can immediately see that the payment has been received.
  • SEPA forms for direct debit, which we will arrange with your bank.

Once we have received the documents and payment, the car can be picked up immediately. We can then schedule the transport for you right away. Please note that transports scheduled after 4 p.m. may not be able to take place the next day during busy periods.

How quickly can I get a car as a private customer?

You can always drive a car within one business day. If you send a quote request via the website, we will send you a personalized quote as soon as possible. You can also contact us by phone on business days with your requirements at: 020 – 218 4243

We ask private customers to email us the following:

  • A copy of a bank statement or payslip with your address details (not older than 30 days)
  • A copy of your driver’s license and passport/ID card
  • The completed account application form, which you can download on our website.
